Ok,ok,ok. This is Patty. Bonehead and I have both been lazy about writing. Dan and I have been going places and shes just been "chillin" and stealing drinks of her Papa's water out of his glass. She has her own glass. Yes. She drinks out of a glass. lol lol lol........... 10/24 we drove to Nogales in the truck. We didn't like the idea of leaving the bike parked in a lot while we walked over the border. Again, we just walked over without anyone asking for ID. It must be this way all along the border. There was a very noisy siren going off while we were walking to the border. A whole bunch of cops and border patrol guys were all gathered by the parking lot where we parked. Something was happening because I noticed that no cars were coming back into the U.S. Everyone was stopped. Not so the other way. The cars were going back into Mexico and we just walked right on in. The siren was turned off as we were walking over. Don't know what happened. I put a couple of pictures of the big border fence on here. I enjoyed going into Nogales alot, better than the other two towns. It has a huge tourist section and it was fun to look at all the stuff. After awhile though, everything starts to look the same. You needed to go into the back of the shops to find something good. Some of the stuff in the front of the shops said, Made in China. Whats with that? I found that quite amusing. Alot of the shops had booze on one wall as you walk in and vanilla on the other wall. I don't know how many people wanted to sell me vanilla. I bought vanilla in Ensanada and tried it in my "famous" fudge. It was AWFUL and made my fudge taste NASTY! I gave it all away. Dan ended up buying some Cuban cigars. I didn't buy anything. We went into a casino though so I could spend my 20 bucks, just like I do at home. I came out 26 American bucks ahead and it paid for lunch. The slot machine was all in Spanish and pesos. It was fun trying to figure out what was going on. We had a pretty good lunch, but the exchange rate is not very good right now, so lunch cost about what it would here. No real savings. OH! Patti! I know you're reading this. Tell Michael that the donkeys are still there so you can sit on the bench above them and get your picture taken. I know he'll remember that. We had a good time together when we went back in 1990, I think. We left there and just came home and chilled and took Bonehead outside for awhile. It was a nice day........On 10/25 we just stayed home. The only thing we did was take a walk in the "draw" next to the rv park where the border patrol hangs out looking for illegal aliens. We've seen them fly over in the helicopter with the door open and a guy sitting in the door with a big gun..........On the 26th we were back in Tombstone. We got tickets to the O.K. Corral gunfight. The 26th was the 125th anniversary of the gunfight. We wanted to see it at the actual time of 2:30, but that time had been sold out for months. We seen it at 12:30. The gunfight was held in a small arena type place very, very close to the original site. The original site is fenced off to the public. It sure was a small area in which the actual fight took place. They all couldn't have been more than 10 to 15 feet apart looking at each other and shooting. We walked on the same path and same narrow alleyway that the gun fighters would have taken. I was trying to imagine them all being there. The O.K. Corral is haunted, as are many other places in Tombstone. The gunfight only lasted about 30 seconds. All the bad guys were killed. Wyatt was not wounded. Virgil, Morgan, and Doc Holliday were all wounded. Dan took my picture with them. They were really good actors. We hung around Tombstone for awhile longer, then came home. Today was also the first day of a bike rally in the rv park. The Brothers of the Third Wheel. Trikers. We have a friend who is secretary of the Sierra Vista chapter. Adele rides with her husband Bob. I had been chatting with Adele on the internet for about 6 1/2 years and we've remained friends. Dan and I had met her when she came to Everett several years ago, and its fun to see her again. We've been hanging out around the other members just chatting, watching the games, sat at the bonfire and watched the Elvis impersonator, etc. We whimped out and didn't go on the poker run. It was too chilly to start out. Today, Dan is entering the bike into their bike show. We'll see what happens there. He has it all pretty and shiny. I'll be writing next time about if Dan wins anything with the bike. Oh, we wrote down our milage for the "Furtherest traveled". Bet we win that one!
