HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, hello again! April 14,15,and 16 were, as Kittie Lou from Oregon would say, "just fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kittie and Bruce from Bandon were here and we all had a good time. On Saturday I rode with Connie while she showed property to Kittie and Bruce. The Idaho countryside is sooooooooo pretty! Later that night we all went to dinner up river from the RV park. We were a noisy bunch! Sunday was the birthday BBQ for Chris. We hauled all the chairs and tables to the river, had a fire going, and had food and drink along the river bank. The weather held out for us all three days so we didn't have to run for cover because of rain. I do believe that Chris had a good birthday party. He received some silly gifts and some nice ones. Dan and I gave him a get well card and a sympathy card along with a big sucker that said, "60 sucks". He also received some laxative pills. Another friend that was at the party, Sue, was giving Chris a bad time about getting old, so he put some pills in her piece of cake. Well, Sue knows Chris really well and she handed the cake to one of the campers that was in the park and was at the party. I love the picture of him picking pills out of the cake and the one of Chris and Connie cracking up laughing at him when he seen the "planted pills"! Three people got a little excited when part of the fire decided to "pop" out of it's fire ring. Terry, who works with Connie, had a big piece of hot wood land in between his legs. He sure did move fast! hahahahahaha.....Bruce had a piece land on his shirt and burned a nice hole in his shirt before he could shake it off. And yours truly was standing with her back to the fire and could smell something like burning hair. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Wonder who's hair that was? I didn't feel anything but Bruce spotted a tiny piece burning my hair on the back of my head. Oh sigh. And my hair is so fine and fly away. I didn't live that down for an hour or so. Didn't even know my own hair was burning. It was just a fun time. Lots of good food and, although I'm not into eating cake, I did have a bite just to sample it, and Chris and Connie's friend Reggie had made a most excellent birthday cake! Real rich. Connie tried to get all the candles lit, forming the number 60, but there was a slight breeze. Chris just came up and blew out what they were trying to light. Hope he made a good wish!........On Monday I rode out with Connie, Kittie, and Bruce again to look at more property. Dan and Chris stayed at the park. We tromped around on about 6 or 7 properties. I didn't count. For dinner we all went up river to where Kittie and Bruce were staying. Grilled rib-eyes and had left over salads from the BBQ. We had ice cream sundaes with a cherry on top. Chris had a long candle to blow out sticking out of his ice cream. They were staying in this neat cottage type place with a hot tub on the deck. After dinner we all hit the hot tub. It was a nice, clear night and we were out under the stars. The river was across the street so you had a nice clear sky, soaking in the hot tub while listening to the river. Nice, nice, nice. I was amazed at what is called a cottage. Before Dan and I started living in the 5th wheel, our little house in Bremerton was smaller then this place! I could live quite comfortably in this "cottage". It was a really nice place. We had a great time there. Ya just couldn't ask for anymore then we had. Rib-eye steak grilled over charcoal, a nice hot tub to soak away your aches, and good company to share it with. And, far away from big towns and cities! This was Chris' real birth date, so again had him open some presents. Ya only turn 60 once! Him and Connie went back down river about midnight and Dan and I stayed up in the loft of the cottage. Poor Bonehead had to spend the night in the 5th wheel without us. Shes soooooooooooo spoiled and I'm sure she wondered where we were. But, we came home the next day and shes a happy camper again. Bruce and Kittie have gone home and we're back to a normal RV park routine again..........It rained yesterday off and on. Today its overcast. I think everything is getting a darker green. I love all the different shades of green here in the Springtime.
