Hi again! Dan finished up his "duty" at the race track. He worked long days, but I think he enjoyed it most of the time. While working at his assigned VIP suite , he met the woman who built the race track. She also owned the suite. Dan had stopped her asking her for the right ID. Just doing his job, then they chatted for a bit. I guess he only seen her that one time. On Sunday, his last day, he about froze to death. It was really windy and it was blowing in at him most of the time. He was outside the elevator on a balcony. Sure glad he took his heavy coat with him! I could see the top of the race track from our living room window and could see the Thunderbirds pass over the race track after the National Anthem was sung. I sat and watched the race on TV, sometimes with the sound off. I could see the cars on the TV and hear the sounds coming from the track outside. ha....That was kinda cool.......Monday afternoon we drove south to Sam's Town Casino/Hotel/RV Park where we'll be for 2 weeks, leaving on 2/18. Back in a park with full hookups. woohoo! No worrying about water. We can take long showers! Of course we have close neighbors but thats ok for 2 weeks. This really is a nice park. One of the nicer ones we've been in. Dan has already been in the hot tub while I was doing laundry. There is a swimming pool here too. We've been in the casino looking around. Really nice casino. Lots to do in there besides gambling..........We've gone to see Tonya and her family. (My sister Christine's "daughter" and "grandkids"). They came over to our rig and had dinner with us. Tonya, husband Mike, Josh, and Kiersten. One is missing and that is Kaelin. We'll miss seeing him this trip. Tonya and her family are too much fun. Silly. They all make me laugh and thats a good thing! They'll be back over to use the hot tub and pool and I'm sure we'll go in the casino and check it out. Even the kids can go in there. Lots to do for them too....Today our pal Eric will be flying into Vegas for his birthday. We'll be picking him up at the airport this afternoon. More on that later.....In the pictures our poor truck has never been so dirty. Not even in the desert at Quartzsite. Since I took the close up picture of the truck, we have taken it to a car wash and I know it feels pounds lighter without all the desert/road/race track dust. hahaha.......Now we just gotta get our "home" washed. I'm sure that it will feel lighter to tow without 3 layers of dust on it! HA
