Tuesday, 2/3........I can see that my sister Christine took the time out to look at Bonehead's slide show. Thank you Christine. I know you loved her too. I hope at least a few other people checked out her pics too. She passed away one year ago today.............
Dan and I went out riding on the quad today. It was a nice day to ride. We went back out to the sand dunes to look for clips and bullets where General Patton's troops were riding around in the tanks. Its always a nice ride to get out there. You never have to go on the same quad trail twice if ya don't want too. I packed us a lunch, we rode and had a good time.
Wednesday, 2/4......We rode the quad into town to get some gas, go to the veggie/fruit store, and mail some cards at the post office. Came back home and Dan did some maintenance on our rig. The lower bracket that holds our awning in place was coming out and away from the side of the 5th wheel. When it was built, no one put anything on the inside wall of the rig where the awning bracket was attached. Dan had to put a reinforcement on the inside wall, put some long bolts through that, and put the bracket back in place. At least, for now, we know that the awning won't be coming off the rig as we're driving out on the road! The longer we have our 5th wheel, the more we notice how the "makers of our rig" tried to cut corners every time they could. Oh well. We needed to "air out" the awning anyway. We don't use it that much as its too windy here a lot of the time. Anyway, that is just another retired day gone by.
