Our pals, Ron and Linda, have departed for new adventures before going home. We had a "going away" dinner for them. It turned out real good. Yummy, yummy food! The days are getting a little warmer and we're loving it. Kathy, Sonja, and I went out to do some geocaching, looked at some vendors, and went out to lunch. It was all fun. We ventured out to a geocache that Dan and I had placed by this huge cactus. This cactus had to be 300 plus years old and it was beautiful. I called the cache "Count My Arms". The big storm of Janruary 2010 knocked "Count My Arms" right over. A gentle giant has fallen. Here are the before and after pictures. I found it to be very sad, but Mother Nature is in charge and I guess it was "Count My Arms" time to go. I think it got so top heavy with the heavy rain storm, that it toppled right over. I renamed the cache, "Count My Arms, R.I.P. Pictures of it standing tall and proud. And here is what the poor cactus looks like now. Too sad. Kathy/Jim/Sonja, our Canadian neighbors, had friends from Canada over for chat and dinner. We joined them for dinner outside around the campfire. I took a couple of neat pictures of the full moon. Dan and I went for a quad ride today, 1/31, and had a great time. We found one geocache and couldn't find the other. We went to a place along the trail that someone created for travelers. Deere Run B&B. Its cute. Just a place to stop and have a snack/picnic/spend the night. Heres a few pictures. Heres a few scenery pictures from our quad ride.
