Sunday, 3/7 it stormed all day. We could see each rain storm come across the desert along with the wind. I was so glad when it finally came to a stop. The desert sure is turning green because of all this rain.............Monday, 3/8 was a most wonderful day. Dan and I along with Sonja, her friend Eileen, and Kathy all went for a quad ride. We took everyone back out to where we picked up the rocks in the last blog entry. Everyone came back home with some neat rocks. We found three geocaches and were all amazed at how the desert floor looks so different with all the green grass. While Dan,Sonja, and Eileen all went climbing up the side of the hill looking for rocks, I was sitting on the quad just kicked back taking scenery pictures. I happened to look up the side of the hill and up on top was this creature staring back down at me. I later researched when we got home and discovered we all had seen a Arizona Bighorn Sheep. Way cool.
Kathy and Jim left to go back home to Canada on Wednesday, 3/10. They had to get back. I hope they are traveling safely and don't hit any snow along the way. The next two days Dan and I have been out quad riding with Sonja and Eileen. Thursday, 3/11 we went to the Magic Footprint. People claim that the footprint in the rocks was made a very long time ago. I don't know. Its a nice ride to get there. There were other people there checking things out and Sonja ended up knowing a couple of them. They are friends from where she lives in British Columbia. Small world, eh? We rode with a chilly north wind. BRRRRRRRRRRR.

OH MY GAWD! You all are not gonna believe what Dan and I just seen! I was playing on the laptop and watching tv and Dan was laying on the sofa watching tv. We have a regular living room in our 5th wheel up front where normally a bedroom is so we can see right out a big living room window. So, at 9:50pm on March 11th I'm sitting in my recliner having a normal night when our night turned VERY weird. Here is the normal view from our living room window.

Right over the small tree in the middle of the picture we seen strange lights. They were not all the way to the hills. Dan estimates they were s few miles away and about 150' up in the air. Two orangy white orb thingys. Just "there" in the air. We ran outside to look at them, me without my camera, (UGH! GRRRRR!)to try and figure out what we were seeing. The lights weren't from the border patrol cause there would have been a beam. They weren't from a helicopter cause we didn't hear any sounds. Looking out across the desert we don't think there are any motor homes or 5th wheels out that way. (We will be taking a quad ride to verify that statement.) We don't think someone was out there screwing around. The two bright lights were side by side, vanished or faded out, then came back again to full brightness. It looked like they were "hovering". I went across the dirt road to tell Sonja and Eileen to come outside and look. They did and they saw just exactly what I've described. Sonja tried to take a picture and I haven't seen it yet as she had to leave for Phoenix for a couple of days taking Eileen to the airport. She said its only a flash of light. We'll see. Anyway, 4 of us seen the two lights. Then as I was walking back home Dan said another light showed up, coming from the south towards the other two lights. I didn't get to see this one as I was shining my flashlight down onto the uneven ground to see where I was walking. I looked up a couple of times and still seen the two lights but never seen the third one. Then they all disappeared. They just faded away. Poof! Gone! No more! What in the hell did we see? UFO? Where had it come from?. Another dimension? I don't believe in the whole outer space thing, but do believe in different dimensions or parallel times. Maybe the lights had slipped into our dimension from theirs. Whatever happened to allow us to see strange lights in Quartziste, Arizona, I guess we'll just have to wait and hear if someone else spotted them too. Or maybe hear a different explanation. Dan said that he'd never seen anything like this before. I had seen a UFO when I was 19 and on that night there were other sightings in my area. My friend Paym who is on the Crime Stoppers poster on my blog seen it with me. We were both amazed. I totally believe. And Dan now believes that he seen something out of the ordinary. Anyway, that was a most interesting night in the desert. We'll probably never see anything like that again...................Friday, 3/12 I snapped a few pictures of the little ground squirrel that was out in front of our rig. He is cute

Dan/I/Sonja/Eileen, then went for another quad ride to what Dan calls the "Moon". I've written about this place before back in January. Totally different scenery then we've ever seen. Dan thinks it looks like the moon, so we'll just let him think that if he wants. Interesting place. Its almost to the Colorado River. That is a long ride. We stopped by an old mine on the way, picked up lots of neat rocks, seen a cute little lizard sun bathing, and took lots of flower pictures.

Came back home and had leftovers for dinner and all of us sat around a small campfire for awhile.......Saturday, 3/13...Sonja, Eileen, and I went to the pancake breakfast at the Catholic Mission, then they were off to Sedona and then to a motel at the airport in Phoenix. Eileen has an early flight on Sunday morning. It was nice meeting her and she was alot of fun.............I keep looking out the window all the time now, right over the top of the tree hoping to see another "strange, out of the ordinary" something. LOL LOL LOL...It was just too way out of place seeing what we saw.
