Bonehead's Traveling People

Today was our first travel day on our way from Quartzsite, AZ to Bremerton, WA. On the road again and it sure feels different! Of course it was a short day!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who knows Dan and I personally, know that we don't do long travel days. Something we just don't do. It was 103 miles from Quartzsite to Needles, CA and we ended up taking a "scenic" route cause "someone" made a wrong turn. hahahahahahahaha....Thats ok. It was a road we hadn't been on before. It was an extra 80 or so miles out in the middle of nowhere. Kind of cool though as we passed by Poston where during WW2 there was a huge interment camp for the Japanese. I wanna go explore that area when we go back to Quartsize next Fall. Anyway, our travel days are short. Always about 4 to 5 hours then we set up "camp" somewhere for the rest of the afternoon and night. We are camped at the Needles KOA. We've racked up enough KOA points that we got a very good discount on our rate. Cool. We like cheap! We went into Needles to get fuel and are now sitting here being lazy playing on our computers and enjoying the hot weather. I'll be researching our next couple of travel days as its gonna be windy, windy, windy. Not good travel days. We'll travel as far as we feel safe doing so tomorrow, then we'll probably stay put for a couple of days until the high winds pass by. We have to go over the Tehechapi, which is a mountain pass with long grades and gusty winds. Guess we'll see what the next couple of travel days bring............We miss you Debbie and Rusty!
