BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......Its turning cold here in the "low desert" at night. We aren't even 1000' in elevation! Been having to turn the furnace on in the early morning to get the chill out of our rig. I foresee using the portable propane heater all night soon and keeping it on a low setting. I put flannel sheets on the bed. Thats a good sign of being cold at night........Tuesday, 11/9 we went for a quad ride with friends that are camped in our area. Met up with another couple enroute to our destination that we've ridden with before so our group got bigger. Canadians Kathy/Jim Ken/Diane, Carol (her Jim wasn't feeling well so he stayed home) and Jerry/Pat with whom we went on a quad ride about a week ago. Kathy and I had two destinations. We found a geocache that we couldn't find before. And we "placed" a geocache. Its always fun to "place" a cache. It was a nice ride and one that we'll take again. In the Spring I'm quite sure that it will be very pretty with everything in bloom. When we got back from the ride, most of us gathered at Kathy/Jim's around the campfire for moose meat chili. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM.......Wednesday, 11/10 was just another retired day in the desert. Went into town in the truck to pick up propane, visit the new veggie vendor, and buy milk and ice. Seen the Goodyear blimp pass over us. On it's way to Phoenix International Raceway for the NASCAR race this weekend. The blimp was moving around real good up there in the sky as it was windy. I think that I'd like to ride in a blimp someday........Thursday, 11/11, Veterans Day. Kathy and I rode the quads into town to go look at some of the vendors that set up every year around this time and look at a sale happening at a craft store. Its really windy out today. Our satellite dish will probably "burp" a few times today until the wind dies out.
