Trying to capture a nice sunset. One that where we had clouds. Lots of clouds over the weekend that blew in from the southwest. And I know that I had said that we rarely have clouds in the sky. Well, thats true. They are all gone for now. Monday, 11/22.....Most of the weekend it was windy. I thought for sure our satellite dish might have burped. It didn't for the internet. Something happened to Directv though. On our dish we have a thing called, "bird on a wire" for our Directv. That little gadget must have burped because we have no tv at all. Dan will be talking to the Directv people in Quartzsite today. Usually its the other way around when its windy. We lose the internet and keep tv. Hmmmmmmm. It must have burped really good. We also had problems with our generator. A few nights ago Dan couldn't get the gen started. He fooled around with it for a long time before it finally decided to start. That was a lucky start because there was something wrong with it that he didn't know about. When it didn't start again this last weekend, I found a guy in the Quartzsite, Desert Messenger, that will come to you and fix your generator. And what a nice guy he was. He stopped by our rig on Sunday evening right before dark to check it out. I guess he carries lots of parts with him and his tool box and is prepared for alot of problems. He found a brush that is part of the inside of the generator that had worn down to almost nothing and replaced it. Its working now. Dan said he never would have known to look at something like that. An "office call" in the desert is a little pricey, but its better then hauling our rig somewhere to get it fixed. Especially if the place keeps it overnight cause we'd have to find a place to stay. This guy was our "favorite person of the day". lol lol lol.......WOOHOO! We will have tv tonight. The Directv people tested our equipment today and it was all fine. They gave us a few ideas on what to do and I also calibrated our satellite dish. Everything works fine now. Good thing cause "Dancing With The Stars" and "House" is on tonight. As I was sitting here playing on the laptop not long ago, a very nice looking coyote walked right in front of our rig. I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple of pictures of him/her. This critter cruised by our rig twice within about 2hours and he/she gets closer each time. Must be hungry and can smell the dinner I had cooked. You can be assured that we won't leave anything out to tempt him/her.
