I'm behind on writing in my blog, so its all about pictures this time. Some of us rode in the quad parade for PAWS. We ride every year. Its kind of a fun thing to do......Sonja, Dan, and Jerome getting her quad ready for the parade. And, off we go to where we lined up for the parade. Canadian Jim and Brandy waiting for the parade to start. People lining up for the parade. Jerome, Sonja, and Dan. There were alot of quads. Lots more then you see here. Here are some pictures I took a couple of days after the quad parade. Us, Sonja, Jerome, and Kathy all went geocaching. Our destination was a mine we hadn't seen before. The Cinnabar Mine. You can google it to find out about it. There were two geocaches there. It went about 75 miles on this ride. Normally our rides are between 30 to 50 miles. Check out the "loving" cactus. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. One of the open pits at the Cinnabar Mine. Long ways down. Large stone structure. Bigger then we normally see. A couple of views from the "pass" we just came through. Besides the parade and quad ride, we've had a "going away" weenie roast/potluck around the campfire. Sonja and Jerome are headed back to Redding, CA. Dan built a great fire and we had a couple tables full of food. My favorite was blackberry cobbler made by Kathy. Dan and I picked lots of black berries when at home in Bremerton, WA, froze them and brought them with us. They sure are a yummy treat in the middle of winter........Also, the past several days we've been busy getting "road ready" for our trip to Vegas. Dan lowered the solar panels today so they are now laying flat on the roof instead of being tilted. We're all packed up and ready to leave. The weather today has been real sucky. Its not cold but it sure is windy. We've had a few BIG gusts of wind slam into our rig and along with the wind comes all the dust. Glad this doesn't happen all the time..........I'm sure next time I write, it will be from Las Vegas.
