10/9/11.....We have arrived at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Its nice weather so far. We're parked on lower motor home hill for a few days. Full hookups in the $3000 spots. Can you imagine paying that much to park your RV? And upper motor home hill is $5000!!!!!!!!!! Dan will get his assigned working area and we'll be moving to dry camp the rest of the time we are here. Bella is not too sure of the noise here. The drags were happening when we arrived and there were some race cars out on the track. We are right next to Nellis Air Force Base and because it was Sunday, it was pretty quiet for things flying around in the air. She only looked up when something flew over us. The drag races finally ended and she was happy being outside to explore. No green grass or trees here. She did explore the boat that someone parked here.
Seeing as today, 10/10, is Columbus Day the air base might not be doing alot of flying. We'll see. On a regular work day poop Bella is gonna find that the jets are REAL noisy! Hoping she doesn't wanna go hide. 10/10/11.....It was such a nice day! We didn't have to do anything but just enjoy the day. Dan took Bella outside and she did real good. She went for a walk with him almost all the way from our rig to the grandstands. You can see the end of the grandstands in the picture. I'm so glad she doesn't try and run away. She does real good walking with him..
We did some socializing with the other workampers that are here and most of us went to dinner last night at a place close by called the Poker Palace. An older casino. I sure love camping on lower motor home hill! I'll be out taking jet/big plane/stealth/etc pictures. I love watching them go over the top of us. The Blue Angels were out yesterday but I didn't have my camera with me. They did a couple of maneuvers, practicing I guess. It was cool.
