MEOW to you all this very cold morning! We are in Roswell, New Mexico at Town and Country RV Park. Mom says we'll be here until Nov 19th. I like it here. Papa has been taking me outside all the time. I have lots of room to roam and lots of things to explore......We left Tombstone on the 11th. I did ok most of the way. Mom took a picture of us crossing the Continental Divide. We stopped by the White Sands National Monument and Papa and Mom looked around. Papa took me for a walk in the parking lot. We made it to Las Cruces and stopped for the night. None of us liked where we stayed and we'll never go to that place again. We were packed into the park like sardines. I couldn't roam around. We drove through some interesting looking countryside getting to Roswell. Poor Papa and Mom. They don't like being cold and the nights here are BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR cold! Today is suppose to reach 75 though. Right now its only 35 and sunny. Mom says that shes glad its a dry cold and not a damp cold like back home. Oh, Mom bought me a new kitty bed for the truck. Its bigger. I'll have more room now and will be able to stretch out and not hang over the side. Good move on Mom's part. meow meow meow (lol lol lol)...........I'm giving this to Mom so I can go crawl back into bed with Papa. Hes still sleeping..................Patty here. Bonehead is right. Its cold, cold, cold! Going to see Michelle in Portales will be a chilly adventure. Thats ok though. We will spend Thanksgiving there then head back to warmer weather...........We were out and about in Roswell yesterday. First place we headed for was Albertsons. Guess what was there! STARBUCKS! I got my "fix" and we ventured on. Drove around to see what we could remember. We had been here for a day and night back in 2002 when on our 7032 mile bike trip. We broke down here. Anyway, we headed for Walmart to get a few things, stopped by the Ford dealership, then went to the Harley shop. The girl who waited on us, remembered when we broke down here. That was neat. Ok. FYI.............The bike broke down in Roswell in August 2002. We found the Harley shop. They took us in off the road, putting us before everyone else, took a part from a new bike to fix ours', gave us a new bike to ride around town while they were working on our bike, took us on their bike chapter's dinner ride that night to Artesia so we could test the bike out, and gave us a discount for the motel across the street from the shop. WHEW! They were so nice and they were nice this time too. CHAMPION MOTORSPORTS. Remember that name if you're ever in Roswell. Even if you don't ride, you can see the alien sitting on the bike when you walk through the door. Hes kinda cool looking......We came back home and Dan took Bonehead outside for a long time. I think they were all over the rv park. We have a HUGE space! A good place to spend a week. This will be a lazy week. Going to explore some more and visit Starbucks wherever I can. Its a small world out there. The young man who waited on me in Starbucks went to elementary school in Silverdale. His dad was probably in the Navy, I'm guessing. I'm going to ask him next time.......When Bonehead started writing this, it was only 35 outside. Its now 40. WOOHOO! Hoping it will reach that 75 mark today!
