Miss Bonehead doesn't like it here at all, so shes not writing today. Her and Dan are still sleeping anyway. I guess that I don't blame her. We are close to other rigs here and the people are "busy" all the time. Too many distractions and it makes her uneasy. She'll like it better when we "dry camp" in the desert on the 26th. We haven't been doing very much. Just hanging out mostly. Waiting for all the mail to come in. Sure was nice getting one packet full of Christmas cards. Now if the UPS man would bring the box of sugar-free vanilla for my homemade lattes, I'd be happier yet..........We drove to Blythe, CA yesterday (12/15) so I could go to Starbucks. WOOHOO for Starbucks! The drive was about 40 miles. That first drink sure does taste good. I know Karen (Miss milky way breve) will agree with me on that and I know shes reading this. Blythe was ok. Nothing to write home about..........I'm looking outside to the west and it is VERY dark and cloudy at 8:15am. Its suppose to rain today. We are gonna get the tail end of the Northwest storm. Gee, thanks family for sending that down here taking away our sunshine and 74 degree weather. hahahahaha. Thats ok. There are several rigs here from WA. Their owners will feel like they're at home again........Dan put a small string of lights on the front of the 5th wheel. I tried to take a picture but it didn't turn out that good. Anyway, you get the idea.....I might go put my name on the signup sheet in the clubhouse for the potluck Christmas dinner on the 25th. The park is providing all the hams and I'm just thinking that this whole park is retired people who have been cooking and baking for years and years. Think of all the "experience" that will be sitting on the buffet tables! YUM! I'll make Christine's famous pistachio salad. Dan and I can have our small ham on Christmas Eve and the free ham on Christmas Day! Free is always good........We might drive into Quartzsite today and look around at all the vendors. We've been told that the roads in Quartzsite are gridlock beginning in Janruary all the way through March. Different shows and vendors. Right now there are enough vendors set up that we'll have a good time checking everything out. We'll be looking for a mat to set outside our 5th wheel when we're parked. 9 x 12 size. Most of the time we step down onto gravel or desert dirt. Nice green grass? Not a chance! Hoping to find a good deal on the mat. Right now there are parts of Quartzsite that remind us of Sturgis. Vendors, vendors, and more vendors. Only the transportation has changed. Not bumper to bumper Harleys and other bikes. Now its big deisel trucks and quads/ATV's. Yes. People ride their quads and ATV's all around town. We were at the post office one day after we first got here and this guy on a quad spotted the WA plate on our truck. He came over to chat with Dan and said he was from Mt. Vernon. We're seeing alot of retired WA people down here..........Well, one of us will write again soon. Probably me as Bonehead is such an unhappy cat. I might have to buy her some new treats and put them under our little Christmas tree.
