Bonehead's Traveling People

Good cloudy morning! We woke up about 4am to thunder, lightning, and pouring rain. The weather is starting to change very quickly, just like back home in Western WA. Yesterday it was VERY nice. So nice that Dan took the bike out of the garage and took it for a spin. Sure glad he put it back in the garage! We sure didn't expect more rain so soon...........We've spent the last couple of days just hanging around Florence and the rv park. Sunday the 10th, we drove into Florence and parked across the street from the prison to watch the parade of bikers on the prison run. Suppose to be put on by the Hell's Angels, but we didn't see as many as we thought we would. Lots of other bikers that looked NON Hell's Angels. We never seen so many cops of all kinds at a bike parade! Anyway, it was interesting to see the parade and, of course, very loud......Yesterday, Monday the 12th, we just hung around the park. We were waiting for FedEx to deliver NASCAR tickets. Yup! We are going to a NASCAR race in Las Vegas on March 11th. This will not be something we do every year. The prices for good tickets are not cheap! I found moderatly priced tickets. Suppose to have a good view of the whole track. We'll see if I did good or not on choosing seats. Its the UAW-Daimler Chrysler 400. Dan is REAL excited about doing this! On March 10th, we'll be going to a smaller race. The Sam's Town 300. We have a place to dry camp from March 7th to the 12th. We'll be at the Hollywood RV Parking, right outside the track. We can walk to the races or take a shuttle. I'm sure that Bonehead will not like going here and she'll stay inside the whole time we're there. But, we'll be heading towards Idaho after this to green grass. She'll be a happy camper when we're back at Chris and Connie's rv park again. Long Camp RV Park........When we leave this park on the 24th, we'll be stopping back in Quartzsite for a few days to dry camp in the desert across from Jim and Carol. Will be fun seeing them again. We're hoping to go out metal detecting with Jim again when we're there........Well, I'm off to search the Internet, looking for an interesting recipe. I have this head of cabbage and wanna try something new. We both love cooked cabbage!
