Good morning from Laughlin, Nevada where there are TWO Starbucks! WOOHOO! Makes me happy as I haven't had a Starbucks latte for quite awhile. Something happened to my espresso machine, so I haven't been able to make my own for about a week now.
We seen 3 state signs to get here. Started in Arizona, crossed over into California, and ended up in Nevada. Not bad for only about 140 miles. Traveling on hwy 95 in CA is a crappy road though. Lots of dips and bumps. The 5th wheel rocked and rolled most of the way on it. We might avoid going on that road again. Bonehead was VERY good. Didn't even make a fuss about traveling. She got out and explored while we were setting up our home. Not much room to roam here, but enough to make her happy. We noticed some grass planted around one of the wash rooms a couple of streets over from us. We'll probably take a walk with her (Dan will carry her) and set her on the grass so she can "chew away". She misses chewing on the green grass....We are staying at the Riverside RV Park and across the street from the Riverside Casino. Its not a bad place. Rather noisy though. It will be ok for a week. We went out exploring a little bit yesterday. First stop was the Nugget where Starbucks was. Then we went into the Pioneer, Colorado Belle, and Riverside casinos.
Eventually we'll go into all of them at least once. We both gambled a little bit. Dan put 2 bucks in a slot machine and came out 48 bucks ahead. Cool. Paid for dinner. I came out 5 bucks ahead. Thats better then being in the hole! We have a couple of day trips planned. It was only 37 this morning, but its gonna be nice and warm today. It was 84 yesterday! LOVED that! Today is "going shopping" day. We are close to big stores and need to stock up. Sam's Club and Super Walmart. We never are close to big stores. We're always trying to stay away from big towns and cities....Dan's youngest daughter, Audrey, said that in Woodinville they had snow yesterday. YUK and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. We'll enjoy our warm weather here today and take pictures of the sun shining on everything. hahahahahaha
