Bonehead's Traveling People

Good WINDY WINDY WINDY morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't believe how strong the wind is this morning. Hurricane force winds in the desert! Yesterday was a most excellent day! First thing that happened is that the inverter people called and will ship via UPS what we need to fix our inverter/solar problem. Cool. Then off to Oatman, AZ we went. We took a short cut on a dirt road from Bullhead City to Oatman. Seen some wild burros along the road. We had heard about Oatman and the tame burros that live in the town. They just roam through town, going anywhere they wanna go. If you're driving though town, the burros have the right-away. Oatman is an old mining town, now turned tourist attraction. We didn't see any burros when we arrived, but it didn't take long before they showed up. Most of the shops in town sell carrots so you can feed the burros. We were told to feed them licorice, but I forgot to buy some. I feel bad about that because I HATE carrots and I can imagine that the burros get tired of eating them or might refuse to eat them cause they taste so nasty. hahahahaha.... Licorice would be a neat treat! The town has lots of history. My favorite place was the Oatman Hotel. There is a place to eat in the hotel and there are so many dollar bills tacked to the walls, ceiling, and banasters that I bet they would add to a good amount if counted. Clarke Gable and Carole Lombard spent their honeymoon in this hotel. Dan got a picture of the room they stayed in. We could only look through the glass window. I sat on a bed in a room where a ghost is suppose to live. Dan took a picture hoping to catch something strange in the room. hahahahahaha....Only me in the room! That wasn't a bad place at all. Dan had won enough money the day before to cover our buffet lunch. Its a nice casino kinda away from the hustle and bustle of Bullhead City and Laughlin. After we left there, we drove back into Laughlin and went to the Aquarius Casino. Neither one of us liked that casino, so we went back to the Riverside. This is our favorite casino so far. Sometime this weekend, we're gonna go see "Wild Hogs" at one of the theaters in the casino. Should be a funny movie.
