Good morning from Umatilla, Oregon. We left Chris and Connie's yesterday. That was hard to do as we really love being at their RV park and seeing them. Oh sigh. But, we'll see them again in August when we work in the concession with them at the Jefferson County Fair in Port Townsend, WA..............We found a nice place to stay for the night at the first public place we've stayed. Umatilla Marina and RV Park. We're right on the Columbia River. Real nice park. I put just a few pictures on here. Crossing the bridge over the Columbia from Washington to Oregon, looking back at Washington from the RV park, and Dan and Bonehead out enjoying the sunshine. Today we are heading to The Dalles, Oregon for the Cherry Blossom Festival and Teddy Bear Run. If the weather is nice, we'll be riding in the bike parade on Saturday carrying our teddy bears to a drop off point. They will be given to children that are ill. An Abate motorcycle group sponsors this and then they have a poker run and other activities after the parade. We've done this parade for 5 years now and its always fun. We leave for home in Bremerton, WA on 4/30. Anyone who knows the area, we're actually gonna stay in Poulsbo on someone's acreage. I'll write about that later.....Anyway, time to get "road ready" and leave this place. Whenever we pass this way again, this will be the place we stay. Right along the mighty Columbia. And to think that Lewis and Clark traveled along this river also as they did down the Clearwater River at Chris and Connie's park. Love history!
