Well, I hope all you moms had a good Mothers Day. Mine was ok. Remember that we went north to Bellingham, WA to see Dan's mom on Sunday morning. (I never got to see my brothers. They came to see mom after we had left.) We took Dan's mom for a couple of rides, chatted at her place, took her for brunch at a local casino, played the slot machines for awhile, and ended up at Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone. I do believe she had a good day. We spent the night in a motel and left the next morning heading for Everett to try and take care of our inverter problem. That didn't happen. They didn't have a new one ready for us to take. We'll have to go back in about 1 1/2 weeks. Too bad. We'd really like to use our inverter. When we were done with them, we met up with our good friend Steve. He left work early to meet up with us. (Yup, one of those people who do the four letter word. WORK! hahahaha) We checked out the truck he just bought. Its the beginning of the countdown to retirement. Next he'll probably buy the 5th wheel/toy hauler then get all the loose ends tied up before retirement. Then him and his new bride, Debby, will be hitting the road like us............Putting a pic of Dan and his mom on here. Also a couple of pics of us with Steve..........Today is "getting road ready day" again. This time its only to the 5th wheel hospital for a "warranty checkup and fix". Hopefully the "under warranty" things will get fixed. As in the shower not draining right, our back tires wearing out because something is not aligned right, and some other small stuff. It will be gone 3 days (I hope not longer) and we'll stay in the house with my mom. So, its not only doing the "road ready" thing, its packing stuff to take into my mom's house for 3 days. As in, emptying things out of the fridge and packing our clothes. Poor Bonehead is not gonna like this too much. She just gets comfy, then we "uproot" her again.........I probably won't post again until next week. If we're lucky enough to get our home back in 3 days, then we'll be gone for the upcoming weekend but not in our 5th wheel. We'll be over near Seattle watching Dan's oldest grandson, Caleb, play some baseball games and then celebrating his birthday. We'll have another over-nighter in a motel. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much trouble to pull this thing in Seattle traffic just for 2 days and one night. You just wouldn't believe how bad the I-5 traffic is and we'd have to go the long way around to reach I-5 so we wouldn't have to ride the ferry boat. If we rode the ferry boat with this long rig, it sits so low to the ground that we would have to "ride with the tide" so we wouldn't tear off the back end when trying to board the ferry. Its just easier to "motel it" again. Some of you who read this can look on a map and see that we are surrounded by water. We're on the Kitsap Peninsula. We either ride the ferry boat, or go into Pierce County and go over the Tacoma Narrows bridge, or go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down to Olympia and come up I-5. Just a little geography thing if you have a map handy.....See you all next week sometime!
