Tomorrow, 10/24, we leave the Las Vegas area. Not quite sure where we're going yet, but probably will end up in Quartszite, Arizona and do a general delivery for our mail. We'll go "dry camp" in the same place we were in last January.........Since I wrote last, we've done a few things. We took a ride with Dan's cousin, Danny and his wife Brenda, out to Red Rock Canyon. www.redrockcanyonlv.org
Check it out. We went out with them one day and the next day we went back and explored more. Here are a few pictures that I took. You can see more stuff at the web site above. We ate at this neat place that had the menu on big bottles filled with water. We'd never seen that before. Kinda cool. We also found these two tarantulas along the road. Of course Dan had to bother them a bit with a stick and I had to take pictures. You can see their size in the picture of the two of them together and Dan's stick prodding one along. I think they were nasty looking. The scenery is really pretty. We went on the 13 mile scenic drive. In one of the pictures you can see where there had been a recent "forest fire". Diffenent kind of a "forest" then we're used to seeing, but still a big fire all the same with the same results. Burnt cactus. Next time we come into this area we're gonna dry camp at their park. We checked it out and there is plenty of room for our rig.

Last night we went to old Las Vegas on Freemont Street. Totally different then being out on the "strip". At least you can walk to everywhere you wanna go. We went to see the Freemont Street Experience. The street now has a roof over it and there is only foot traffic. You can watch light shows on the ceiling. They are way cool. I put a few pictures on here that I took, but you can also look at the web-site. www.vegasexperience.com.....Click on "viva vision". At the left click on "show descriptions". Then scroll to the bottom of the next page and click on "sneak preview". There you can see one of the light shows. Dan gave me a 20 bucks to play the big Wheel of Fortune, its HUGE, penny slot. People sit all around this big wheel and hope they get to spin it. Well, I played the max bet (which would have been 4 bucks a spin) and I got to spin the HUGE wheel. I won 250 bucks! WOOHOO! Almost pays for our stay at the RV park. I should have had Dan take a picture of that big wheel. That was too exciting, but I'm glad we limit ourselves to 20 bucks each. Win or lose, then walk away.
