Good Wednesday (11/7) morning! We've been out riding on the quad 3 more times since I last wrote. The weather has been sooooooooo nice and we're loving it. Miss Bonehead goes out in the morning when its not so hot and chases lizards, grasshoppers, dragonflies, and these funny black beetles. She now has some grass and she'll eat it if we take it outside. She won't eat in inside the 5th wheel. Maybe she associates grass with being outside. I don't know. I found it in the produce section at the Blythe, CA Albertsons. The container says "Organic Wheatgrass" "Natures Superfood for people and pets". Anyway, shes happy with it so far. Check out the dragonfly that landed on the truck antenna. We love watching them. The difference in the landscape from where we are parked and where we've been riding is really different. Where we're parked its just desert brush. At the base of the mountains it looks like a desert garden with different cactus. We really like how it looks and wish we could "dry camp" in that type of area. But, we would never get our rig way back into these pretty areas, and besides, there is no camping allowed there anyway. We drove to the Spanish Wall. The BLM says that is is not of Spanish origin, but it's not known who actually built it or when. I guess the wall was built of stone to create a huge dry wash ramp. Only about two feet of the wall is left. Alot of mining has been done in this area and there are still a few small "working mines". There are so many places to ride out here and when we come back from the NASCAR races in Phoenix, we'll be out riding and exploring. Yes, we're going to the races again. We'll leave here 11/8 and come back here 11/13 and stay probably through New Years. We just got a hard case for the metal detector so we can now strap it to the front rack of the quad and take it with us so we can try and find new treasures. We also put a mirror and squeaky little bicycle horn on the quad. Now we're street legal to drive on the Arizona streets. We can zip into Quartzsite from our place in the desert and not have to take the truck. Cool. Saves diesel fuel and we have fun riding the dry washes to town. Took a short ride on the quad today back to a stone house we had seen. Dan was exploring around in it and found a Geo cache. This is where people find the cache and sign their name that they were there and put some little thing in the cache. This time the cache was in a round tin. Jim was with us and put his dog's (Daisy) business card in the tin. We didn't have anything to put in and didn't have anything to write with to say that we had been there. I guess we'll be going back there with a pen next time. Dan put the tin back for the next person to discover it. Last person that had been there was on Nov 5, 2007. Its fun to find something like that and Dan wasn't even looking.

Great photos of the kittie, yup they love that grass, you can also buy the seeds at walmart or any pet store and grow them yourself, much cheaper than buying the plants.
Love the find of the old building you you found too.
What the temp there at Q now? we were there the last couple of yrs. in Jan and it was really cold.
