Check out how you bundle up in the cold desert when out on the quad! Of course the others we were with didn't look like an Eskimo. Better safe than sorry, I say. Didn't wanna relapse when I'm getting better. I decided that I was tired of being stuck in the rig so I bundled up with layers, 4 shirts under my coat, neck scarf, bandanna around the nose and mouth, gloves, earmuffs (pink girly ones), and baseball cap. Oh, and tights under my jeans. I was ready for riding back home! haha.....Well, I was just protecting myself against the wind chill after having this stupid cold. I eventually took one shirt off when we stopped to look at the neat cactus and have something to drink and a snack. We went riding with Jim/Carol, Jerry/Pat, and John. Don't ya just love this cactus? It has alot of character.
It was fun and I sure was glad to get out for awhile! There are so many places to ride out here. I'll be glad when it warms back up again. Right now its 9:04am and 36 degrees with a high today of 64. Thats quite chilly in the desert and we're not even in the high desert like in Eastern Oregon.....This week we'll be getting mail from home. Thats always fun. Can't wait to see all the Christmas cards. Getting mail out here on the road is a treat! Today or tomorrow we'll be going into Blythe, CA to Albertsons to do a little shopping in a bigger store. I need some stuff to use on my candy cane cookies. I already made a batch, but Dan likes them so much that I'm gonna make some more and use more peppermint extract and put some red sprinkles on them. They are yummy. My mom used to make them when I was young. A little time consuming, but well worth the effort. Have a cookie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
