Hello to you all! I'm still way behind in writing about our adventures after we left Mexico. I think that I'm just gonna write a little about it and mainly put slide shows on here instead. Since Bonehead has left us, the brain just isn't thinking the way it should be. I wanna show in pictures about our trips to Tombstone, Willcox, and Yuma.............Since Bonehead has died we've been trying to keep busy. I took the Greyhound bus from Quartzsite to Phoenix, then flew from Phoenix to El Paso. My "adopted" daughter Angie picked me up and I spent almost 4 days at her place in Chaparrel, New Mexico. Her daughter Melissa is going to have a baby and I wanted to attend the baby shower, which was REALLY nice and alot of people were there......While I was gone, Dan picked up Miss Bonehead. She is now in a pretty wooden box which is sitting on her trunk, her favorite spot to lay and look out the window. We'll leave a little bit of her under her favorite tree before we leave to go back home. We received a real nice death certificate which has a very comforting poem on the back. I must show you all the poem. It made me feel better when I read it. It doesn't say who wrote it. Here it is.
MY FOREVER FRIEND
I know that it must be different, now that I am no longer here. I realize how much I was loved and how all of you did care.
I know it will be difficult at first when you look around for me expecting to find me in my favorite bed or beside your chair.
Someday you will begin to see, although it will take time, the happiness we shared, the memories for you and me.
I'll remember you, my family, and how much you meant to me. So please don't be sad and don't hold onto grief, it was just my time to leave.
Isn't that just the neatest poem? We sure do miss her.........I'm putting a few pictures of Dan and Canadian Jim out playing golf in the homemade golf course. 5 holes. And I'll put a few pictures of our quads decorated for the ATV parade. I didn't get too many pictures. My camera batteries decided to "go south" on me. I'm not sure how many quads there were , but it was quite a long parade.....I guess Dan went north to Lake Havasu to see a firework display while I was gone. Of course I had the camera with me so there are no pictures of that. He went with Charley and Ron/Linda..........It was really strange being away from Dan as we are together 99% of the time. I guess our desert friends kept him well fed. Thank you all very much!!!!!!!! It snowed on me when I was in Chaparrel. UGH! Didn't like that at all. Sure glad it didn't stick and make it hard to get around as the baby shower was held at the Moose Lodge in El Paso. We leave home to get away from the cold and snow and look what it does!........My mind is just about blank on things to say, so I'll go work on slide shows. Oh! Just thought about one more thing. We went out one day and did some geocaching. We'd never done that before. It was interesting. We went out with Jim/Charley, me/Dan, Ken/Diane, and Kathy. Went to three different geocache places. One of them was where some old indian grinding holes and petroglyphs are. That was cool. History and a geocache in the same place! I think this is something we'll try and do more of, especially when we get back home for the summer. We both seen where this could be fun.
