Today has not been a good day. Please, please say cat prayers for Miss Bonehead. We took her to a vet in Blythe, CA this morning as an emergency case. The last couple of days we could see that she was not feeling well. This morning she was having labored breathing. We found a vet and off we went. He did a blood workup on her and found her to be in renal failure. Her kidneys are failing. The vet feels that its her age. Remember that shes near 19 1/2 years old. She was dehydrated so the vet gave her fluids via an I.V. We could see in the last couple of days that she was walking a little funny, not working her back legs very well, thus the possible stroke. We brought her home and are now waiting to see how she'll be after the visit to the vet. We feel that he did everything he could for her today at this time. With her kidneys failing we both know what we will have too do. We are both crushed at the thought of loosing our buddy, but we just can't imagine her being like she is today. Just while waiting for the I.V. fluids to have some affect on her body, she is disoriented, scared, and shes having trouble even walking right now. We are just loving her and talking to her. We can see her focus on us and I know that she knows that we're trying to help her and that we love her so much. We aren't sure what will happen between now and tomorrow with her. We are playing the waiting game. We'll probably be taking her back to the vet tomorrow. Please think about her and send her all the good vibes that you can muster up. We will let you know what happens.
