We're here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway parked out in a back lot dry camping. I guess we were suppose to be closer to the race track, but...........Anyway, Dan wasn't suppose to start working until his first meeting on Thursday. Then work 10 hour days on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. He'll be working at one of the VIP suites within the race track. Would be really neat if he "meeted and greeted" some famous person. We got here early last Sunday 2/24. Right away he was asked if he wanted to get extra hours. So, on 2/25 and 2/26 he was stationed at an RV lot right outside the race track that costs you 700 bucks to park in it! And all you have is about a 20x45 space. No room for your big truck that pulled your 5Th wheel into the lot or the tow car behind your big motor home. Your trucks and cars have to park across the street. All you get for $700 is a small parking paved parking space. Maybe its worth it though cause you don't have to ride a tram or walk to the track. Ya think?..........Today he is working at the place where you have your rigs searched before you go park at your spot on the infield. I haven't seen what hes doing yet so I can't say whats happening. We both heard that this is the place where the police dogs sniff out drugs. Today is so nice that I might take a long walk to where he is later and check it out. I've just been watching the jets fly overhead coming from Nellis Air Force Base. Cool! I love watching them. When they fly real low, I'm out there waving my arms at them hoping I might get a "wave" of their wings. So far no luck. ha...........I was suppose to be chillin' with Bonehead while he was working, but you know that story. I know shes not even here in spirit right now because she really hated the jets last year when we were here. She would hide in the loft when it got really noisy. I'm sure when we leave the race track on Monday 3/3, she'll come back and be with us again. Monday will be one month since she passed away. We still both get up every morning and our thoughts are to plan our day with her. I'm sure that will pass eventually. Sorry if I go on and on about her, but I miss her and it is her blog after all...............I would have put a couple of pictures on here of Dan in his reflective vest and baseball cap, but I left my camera in the truck and he has the truck. He looks like he should be out directing traffic in the middle of an intersection. I think hes enjoying all this, but hes been retired for a long, long time and he admits that its making him tired. I sat with him at the RV lot for several hours each day, but then I'd have to come home and fire up the generator so I could plug in the small freezer that we have in the garage. Just everyday normal stuff happening with me. Nothing much to even write about. I wish that we could take the quad out. Then I'd zip around the parking lots. Can't do that. Big no no! Oh well.............I sure miss not being in the desert! Quartzsite became a second home and we had a blast there. And then we left a little bit of Miss Bonehead there. She loved it there too..............I'll write more soon. Usually the words just pour out of me, but since Bonehead passed away, my brain kinda runs on auto-pilot and sometimes I get real scatter brained. I know that will pass in time too....See you all soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
