Sunday, March 15........Dan and I went on a quad ride to see if any new flowers had bloomed. Took lots of scenery pictures, of course, and you can check them out in the slide show. In the slide show you will see lots of flowers, vistas, a blue chair at someone's mine, views from the blue chair, me in the blue chair, views looking back up at the blue chair, and Deere Run B&B. We didn't expect to see a chair out in the desert just sitting there calling my name, telling me to take a seat so I could sit and enjoy the view. What a treat! I can see someone working the mine while someone else was relaxing. We found a big mound of rocks with a doorway thinking that someone had lived in it while mining. Dan peeked inside and found that it was storage for someone's mining tools. FlowersBubbleShare: Share photos - Find great Clip Art Images. The ChairBubbleShare: Share photos - Easy Photo Sharing Nice SceneryBubbleShare: Share photos - Easy Photo Sharing We both loved the sign saying We only went up the trail a little ways then came back to look for a geocache. After we got through the mountains and were coming back down the other side, we come across the Deere Run B&B. That was an unexpected surprise. Someone had set up a cook stove, left a box of firewood, matches in a sealed container, newspapers, an easy chair with two end tables, a table to eat on, and a couple more chairs. What a great place to camp (if you like being in a tent), taking a picnic lunch there, or just having a butt break from quad riding. It was just out in the middle of no where and it was fun to see it there. Here is Dan trying to get cell service so he could call his mom. Sometimes when we're out in the hills and surrounded by them, there is no cell service at all. We found three geocaches and had fun searching for them. It was in the 80's and very nice. I'll be sad to leave here cause the hot weather is finally coming. But, we have other things planned before going back home to Bremerton, WA. Hopefully it will warm up at home. I guess its been a pretty bad winter there. Monday, March 16......It was laundry day and Dan went to get gas/propane/water. Usual stuff. It was also a nice day. Would have been another good day for a quad ride, but we gotta stay home for normal chores sometimes. We played cards with Canadian pals, Ken and Diane. That was fun. Dan won twice and Diane won once. They are leaving soon and we'll miss them.............Tuesday, March 17....HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had pizza and marguritas in the middle of the afternoon. What a good way to spend a retired day!.........Wednesday, March 18....Ken and Diane left today. Making their way back home to Canada. Dan and I went for a long quad ride and did some geocaching. It was hot out and we loved it. It was in the 90's and when we got home it was actually 96 at our home. What a nice day we had!
