Friday, 5/8.....What a nice travel day we had. We only went about 120 miles. We followed hwy 101 along the ocean. It was sunny, no wind, and no fog the whole way. It was great. Even going around the "butt-pucker" curves. Thank goodness there weren't many. Heres some scenery pics from the drive and the beach at Lincoln City.BubbleShare: Share photos - Easy Photo Sharing We're staying at Logan Rd RV Park for two nights in Lincoln City, OR. Its across the street from the Chinook Wind Casino. When Dan was stationed at Mt. Hebo near Tillamook, OR back in the 70's, he used to drive here eat sometimes. He remembered a seafood restaurant he had eaten at way back then and he wanted to try it again. So, after we got all set up and chilled for a couple of hours, we took off for dinner at this restaurant. It was ok but Dan said he wouldn't go back again. After we ate we headed to the casino to check it out. We registered with guest services to get the free gambling card and the free stuff that went with it. Our special gift was two tickets to see Sha Na Na who plays old rock and roll. I can't wait to see them! www.shanana.com......................Sunday, 5/10 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mommies out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last night we seen Sha Na Na. They were MOST excellent. I REALLY enjoyed seeing them. I danced, sang, snapped my fingers, clapped my hands, did the hokey pokey, and did the hand jive. I'd say that the majority of the people in the concert hall were our age or older and I noticed that very few of them knew the hand jive. Well, thats something I've never forgotten and it was fun fun fun!!!!!!!! I took pictures, of course, but I couldn't turn on my flash during their show. So, the pictures are all without flash and under different colored lights. It was a great show and they are really funny on stage. I made 2 slide shows of the band on stage. It was absolutely hilarious.BubbleShare: Share photos - Play some Online Games. We left Lincoln City and headed to McMinnville, OR. It was a very short drive. We have to be here so the guys that put the whole new underside under our rig, can check their work as Dan says there is still a problem with the axles. Not near as bad as it was before, but Dan still isn't happy. These people at Ziemans are pretty nice though. They know we're coming and I'm sure they'll take good care of us. We are parked at one of the nicest RV parks we've ever been in. If Bonehead was still alive, she would have loved it here. She would have seen lots of room to go for walks and lots of green grass. If you ever get near McMinnville, stay at Olde Stone Village RV Park.
