Bonehead's Traveling People

The last couple of days have been real nice. Sunday, 11/01 after Dan watched the NASCAR race, we went out on the quad for a short ride. The landscape sure has changed after the big rain storm they had here in the beginning of September. Places we had ridden last season have changed because of rushing water. Well, it should make it more interesting to ride then......Monday, 11/02 the weather was in the low 90's. WOOHOO for hot weather. Dan and I went out for a quad ride with Canadians, Kathy and Sonja. We went to check out another geocache that we had placed here last season. We drove past the Spanish wall and to a stone cabin. The cache was in good shape. Doesn't need any maintenance. It was a most excellent ride....Wednesday, 11/04, I finally got to visit with Debbie and Rusty. Old pals from home that now live here full time in the "Q". They have both been sick with the flu since we've been here. I rode on the quad where they are camped at the local Catholic Church. They help care for the Church and grounds with some other people. We had a most excellent visit and will be seeing them again soon. I was gonna put an old pic from last season on here of them, but I'm gonna wait until I get my new camera to do that. Then last night our Canadian pals, Kathy,Jim,Sonja, came over for slow cooker stew. We were all sitting outside minding our own business when this tarantula came walking out from under our rig! UGH! Big hairy thing!!!!!!!!!!! Came walking right by my chair and me with no camera. Good thing Sonja took these few pics or no one would have believed me. This is the first one we've seen since coming here the last 4years. It was BUTT UGLY! And fast. It didn't wanna be around us anymore then we wanted to be around it.
