Tuesday, 12/01......Today we went out quad riding and geocaching with Kathy. We found 6 geocaches. It was alot of fun. We always have fun going out geocaching with Kathy. And I found some pretty flowers near one of the caches. We also picked up our new outdoor rug at Debbie and Rusty's place. We can have the UPS person deliver to where they care take seeing as we don't have a street address out here in the desert. hahahaha.....One of our old outdoor rugs was made of plastic and after 4 years of wear and tear and being out in the sun, it just kind of wasted away and started falling apart. It went into the desert dumpster out here where we stay. I found a great buy on ebay for a 10'x20' burgundy rug. Check out the picture. Wednesday, 12/02 Debbie and Rusty came back over for another jewelry making adventure. I made a couple of more bracelets, Kathy made some earrings, and Diane made necklace/earrings/bracelet. I'm surprised that I've had a good time doing this. Wish I could see better. I don't wanna depend on some huge magnifying thingy to help me along. Wish I had good eyes. Oh sigh.....Thursday, 12/03 I took off for Blythe, CA by myself. Dan just couldn't stand the thought of standing in all the shopping lines or being around too many people in the stores. Don't blame him. I stood in line at every place I went. And to make it worse, its right after the first of the month and LOTS of people get paid on the 1st. Oh! That includes me! Well, I knew that I had to come here and get my new script sunglasses fixed, so I bought a Starbucks latte to make me more happy. hahahah...I could feel the lens wiggle in the frame when I tried to clean them so I had to bring them back to they could fix them right up for me. They are now fixed. Now I can wear "driving sunglasses" when I'm out driving the roads......Its been cold here at night. I've been turning the big furnace on in the morning to get the chill out, but last night was the first time we put some heat in here while watching tv. Dan lit the portable propane heater. I'll be glad when this cold night weather goes away......Things are starting to pick up around Quartzsite. More and more vendors are coming in and setting up their wares. My favorite place has been set up for a few weeks. Its a kitchen store and I love going to poke around in all the kitchen stuff. I'm on the lookout for a timer to use when I'm baking. An old fashioned one that goes "ding, its done". lol lol...The owner said he would try and find one when he goes to get his "buying trips". Cool. I like the vendors around here as if they don't have what you want right now, on their "buying trips" they will try and find it.
