Wednesday, 2/17 was Canadian Jim's birthday. We were invited to share Kathy's cabbage rolls and the birthday cake that Sonja had made. Kathy/Jim/Sonja's friends from British Columbia also came to join us.........Thursday, 2/18 we had another jewelry making gathering with Debbie and Rusty coming over. I managed to make some earrings and a bracelet. Sonja made herself a bracelet watch, and Kathy went crazy making lots of pairs of earrings. We had grilled hamburgers and the fixings. Then sat around a small campfire. It was a most wonderful day of fun and good company. My kind of day. It rained last night and into the morning (2/19-2/20). That was ok. It made the road less dusty. The day before Dan and I along with Kathy and Sonja went out on a quad ride. Sonja traded her almost newly acquired quad (two weeks) for another one. The one she traded made her knee sore every time she drove it. Too much shifting. She found one similar to our quad and shes much happier. Now her and Kathy have big grins on their faces all the time when we're out riding. We went to a place that Dan calls "The Moon" cause its so different from anywhere that we ride. Its the strangest scenery and we have no idea why this area looks the way it does. Check out the pictures.
Here is a few pictures of mostly Kathy and Sonja out and about with us.
Since we've had 2 or 3 good rains, the desert thinks that Spring is coming. Check out this flower. I'd never seen one like this. I guess I'm gonna have to buy myself a guide to Arizona flowers and trees, etc, so I know what I'm taking pictures of. This little flower looked like it had octopus legs, long tentacles, sticking out from it. It was a good ride. We sure do have great fun anytime we go out riding on our quad. So many places to go riding around here.............Today, 2/22, is Dan's mom's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY!!!!!! And it is chore day. Went into town to get water/gas/propane. It rained last night and has been very windy all day. After coming back from town, we've made it a lazy day just playing on the computers. Yes, we have two computers. A PC and a laptop. Spoiled retired people anyway! hahahahaha
