The last couple of days have been uneventful. Except for Monday night,10/3. We had BIG winds!!!!!!!!!! I sure do hate the winds. Makes our 5Th wheel rock and roll way too much! We sat out the windy night in Hawthorne, NV at Whiskey Flats RV Park. We've stayed here before. Its right across the street from a big Army ammunition depot.
Bella is such a good traveler. She lays in her cat bed on the console between us. I think she really tries to sleep but she mostly ends up cat napping and dozing. On the floor back of the front seats is litter box, food, and water. So far she hasn't used any of this stuff. We're thinking eventually she'll use everything just like our other cat Bonehead did. It also took her awhile to do this.
We both thought this dust devil was cool. It lasted a long time. Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of something like this when you're going almost 60 mph???????? lol lol
According to the weather we were supposed to have more wind Tuesday so it might have been a bad travel day. We traveled anyway and it was all good. Even up over 6000'. We are now in Beatty, NV at Beatty RV Park. Its a little "mom and pop" park. We've also stayed here before. Bella is pretty much a happy cat camper here because she can go walking with Dan out back of the RV park. Lots of room and lots of little critters to chase. We'll be here two nights.
We are so lucky that Bella seems to mind us. I think that we've both become her comfort zone and she doesn't stray too far from either one of us, especially Dan. She knows her name, she knows "stay", "stop", "outside", "nummies", and a few more important words. For a cat, she seems to listen really good and shes learning. Since she became a part of our family in April 2011, it feels like we've had her forever. Shes come a long way in such a short time. Dan does sometime have to put the pink harness on her and use a leash and she doesn't like that, but its mostly because there is too much noise, traffic, people, and dogs around. We gotta remember shes just a young cat and although shes pretty good most of the time, every animal "spooks" at one time or another.
