Mom and Christine watching us get ready to leave. Mom, Dan, and Christine Mom, me, and Christine Welcome to Oregon Our spot at Phoenix RV Park in Salem, Oregon Welcome to California. Home of REAL crappy roads. I-5 sucks UFO cloud Heading into the rain Oh sigh. Rain. Glad it didn't last long Taking a break on the road to Reno Bella exploring in the woods Going into Susanville, CA. Not my kind of roads Welcome to Nevada Boardertown RV Resort Sept 29.......We have vacated Bremerton, Washington. We only do short travel days. Why hurry? We drove approximately 220 miles. LOL LOL LOL......From Bremerton to Salem, Oregon. We are SO whimpy. hahahahaha......We're staying at Phoenix RV Park in Salem. We've been here before. I got to looking at the date we were last here and it is exactly one year ago. Sept 29, 2010!!!!!!! Didn't plan that for sure.....The drive was good. Nice weather and no wind. The farther south we drove, the warmer it got. WOOHOO for warm weather! Its been awhile since we've been out in traffic pulling our 5th wheel and we both were amazed that the drivers out there on I-5, in Washington and Oregon, have gotten worse. And the freeway is more crowded. We planned our day good, missing morning rush hour traffic in Tacoma,WA and missing afternoon rush hour traffic in Portland,OR. Ya gotta take advantage of that window of opportunity. Like from 10am to 2pm. Bella traveled really good. I think she tried to sleep but most of the time just kept her eyes closed and was of "cat napping". Dan took her outside after we set up and now shes in here sleeping pretty good. Sept 30.........HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my long lost granddaughter Trista. She is 20 today. I would love to see her again someday. I guess time will tell.......We had another good travel day. We actually went 287 miles today! WOOHOO! Thats good for us. We are Yreka RV Park in Yreka, California. We're stayed here several times before. Seems like its always windy here. Bella sure liked going outside here. October 2.........We are spending two nights, last night and tonight, here at Bordertown Casino and RV Resort. We're just over the Nevada border, about 16 miles from Reno. I'm weather watching as its suppose to be windy. Sometimes windy doesn't make for a good travel day. We ate in the small casino last night and I came out 10 bucks ahead on playing the penny machines. Rather windy here today. Gonna take Bella out soon but I know she won't like the wind. This is a nice park but the streets are a little narrow. And now the wind is picking up more and more. Oh boy.
