We had a most excellent dinner, outside/buffet style, in the desert for Thanksgiving. Yes, it was warm enough. Good food/good friends. Couldn't ask for more. No turkey. Just a juicy ham. YUMMY!......Bella is looking up at me as I was on the computer. Thanksgiving buffet The "buffet" guys waiting for dinner. Charlie/Dan/Ken Tuesday 11/29.....Dan has completed installing the gears in the landing leg. We've had a bad landing leg for quite awhile now. He always had to use a hydraulic jack set on blocks in place of our bad landing leg. The only way to get the new gears installed was to cut a hole in our living room floor. We now have a working landing leg and our rig is more stable. Charlie and Ken, our desert neighbors, helped Dan. Thank goodness they were around to assist! It would have cost a fortune to take it an rv repair. Bella discovered the hole and had fun hiding in there. I happened to get a picture of her coming out of the hole. Dan also stopped another small propane leak in a connection to the stove. No more leaks! Seems like there is always something to do. Just like on your house. Good to have some of our maintenance done.......Dan went on a quad ride with Ken and he had fun doing that. Without me on the back or Diane on the back with Ken, these two can "get up and go". They go fast when they are driving single and they both love doing that......Me/Dan and Ken/Diane on quads and Charley/Judy in their jeep are all going on a ride tomorrow. Guiding Charley in to see Apache Cabin. Here they are getting ready to leave on our ride. It was a nice day. I didn't put many pictures on here this time as my lens has a big scratch and it shows up in my pictures. You can see a fuzzy area right in the middle of my pictures. GRRRR. My "new to me/slightly used by someone else" will be here soon. Apache cabin. Old mining cabin. This poor guy was in the middle of the dry wash. Someone had run him over. He wasn't very big and he was not real happy when Dan loaded him up on a twig to move him off the quad trail. He couldn't seem to move real good. Looked like he was stuck in the sand. He was missing three legs but I'm sure hes moving around ok now. Hmmmm. I do believe Charlie got high centered. OOPS! The rocks in the dry was seemed to "grow" since we were there last. LOL LOL....I actually think that during the summer there was some bad storms here and alot of the sand and gravel washed away during flash floods. Diane gonna drive Ken back home It was a fun ride and fun day. And our last warm day. Since this ride its been cold. High 30's/low 40's at night and high 50's during the day. BRRRRR. Dan got out our portable propane heater and its been working hard. We don't have to turn on the main furnace now. Hopefully it will warm back up. Bella cannot chase lizards now as they are too smart to come out of their warm holes in the ground. She is now tree climbing...........Ok. Thats all for now. Dan and I are off to the QIA (Quartzsite Improvement Association) once a month craft show. Then fill up our gas containers.

Purchase a UV filter for your camera and leave it on. That way if you scratch the filter it's inexpensive to replace. A lot cheaper than replacing the lens or entire camera.

It's about time.
