After the drag races

I was never so glad in my life to get away from the drag strip. Being there was WAY different then being right across the street at the nascar races! Whole different atmosphere and a lot noisier. Give me Dan working at the nascar races anytime over working at the drags. The last day of the drags Dan didn't have to work, so guess where he was? Yup. Sitting in the stands watching the drags all day long. That last day at the drags it was getting pretty windy. Towards night I eventually had to lower the satellite dish that sits on top of our rig. All night long it was WINDY with 60mph gusts. Not so good hitting against our rig. It was still windy the next morning and we had to leave the track. Thank goodness we were only going about 24 miles south to Oasis RV Resort to spend a couple of days, mostly to wait out the high winds. That was one nasty ride getting to the rv park. Windy and dusty all the way down I-15. Not a good travel day for any rv with high wind warnings. We made it safely to the rv park.............We've always loved coming to this park but we sure got put in a bad place. Not bad in as its trashy or anything like that. Its right by the dog walk and everyone and their mother has a dog. Bella can't walk out the door without some yippy dog barking at her. Oh sigh. Next stop Avi Casino at the KOA for 3 nights. Another place we like.
