4/21/15 quad ride

We took a fun ride to the lava fields today. We've been here before. Its a great ride and you're riding around on ground that was all volcanoes a very long time ago. Here are a couple of web-sites to look at. I picked up some molten lava rock. That means when these volcanoes erupted, they were VERY hot! I still have to take some pictures of my lava rock and I'll post them in the next blog entry. We also found some geocaches. We hadn't done that in a long time.

Here is the special quad bridge that the town of Fillmore made for the quad routes through town. Very cool.
Almost at the end of the 10 to 12 mile ride getting to the White Mountain and Tabernacle Hill where the lava and craters are.

Pretty good dust devil going on here.
Someone built a couple of rock pyres out of lava rocks.
A small opening in the lava rocks.

Dan checking out the opening.
Dan has a funny look on his face as hes showing one the the geocaches we found. Always fun to find an ammo box.
Lava rocks all around and lots of craters.

You can see the trail on the right side of the picture. We'll be driving on that.
Dan is looking for a geocache among the lava rocks.
Looking inside one of the many craters. At the end of this one is a underground tunnel that you can walk in.

Looking the other way towards another opening that you can go into.
On the way back to Fillmore we seen another dust devil.
Pretty Utah flowers. Too lazy to look up their name.
