5/20/15 Longcamp RV Park

We are at Longcamp RV Park on the Clearwater River in Kamiah, Idaho. Here is their web-site: www.longcamprvpark.com...........You can also find the link on the right side of my blog page. Chris and Connie own this "mom and pop" park and we have been friends for a very long time. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to stop here on the way back to Bremerton for the summer. We'll be here until around June 8th. Bella loves it here so far. The RV park is right on the river and next to the "Heart of the Monster". http://www.nps.gov/museum/exhibits/nepe/exb/slideshows/legendTimes/Heart-of-the-Monster.html........http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nez_Perce_National_Historical_Park......Just a couple of places to read it. I'll go take my own pictures too very soon. I can go right into the "Heart of the Monster" site by just walking thru the gate between the two parks. Cool.........Anyway, here are some pictures of the RV park.

The sign out by Idaho hwy 12.

Chris and Connie live in part of this cool log house. They also rent out two bedrooms for travelers.
Connie watering her flowers.
Their concession that they take to fairs during the summer. This concession has been in my blog many times. I've worked in it long before I even had a computer. Dan has worked in it too.
First thing you see when you walk into their log house.
Here is Chris chatting with Dan who is out of the picture.
We usually park by the river but they are doing some work there, so we are up near the log house.
Pictures from around the park.

So much fun to see Kamiah. In the 80's I did soil survey there, and in other parts of Clearwater and Nez Perce counties. I became very familiar with the Coyote Stories of the area and fell in love with the Clearwater and the Weippe Prairie. Especially the gorgeous "benches" along the river and their beautiful farms. Not many folks talk about this place. What a great surprise.

Thanks for reading my blog Sue. Cool to have friends that own an RV park right on the river, for sure!
