Jason! You would not believe this place where we are staying! 16,000 acres of quad riding. Alot of it is like a HUGE litter box for Bonehead. Red sand dunes and more sand dunes and MORE sand dunes! You would have a blast riding your quad here.............We went out riding for 4 hours yesterday. We tended to stay away from the dunes as it was quite busy. I took some pictures out on the dunes, but you really can't tell how hilly it really is. Its up and down, up and down, up and down. I took one picture of a young fella doing jumps with his quad just to show you how high some of the dunes are. The other dune pictures are all taken from atop a hill we were on. We went up a few hills and had to back down one, but mostly we cruised along the tops of the dunes. From one dune to another. Most of the time we were out in the rocks. Climbing like a mountain goat. We went up some pretty good rock trails. We climbed as high as we could and ate the lunch I had packed. Being out in the rocks, on the trails, you rarley see anyone else. Everyone else is dune climbing. That is the favorite thing to do here. Dan and I were following the trails, and forging a few of our own, out exploring away from everyone. We both like not being around all the other people. When I'm sitting on the back and Dan is driving some bumpy trail or going over some whoop-de-dos, I feel like I should have the controller of his Play Station 2 in my hands and control the driving like he does when hes racing quads on tv. Its too funny. It was hot out too. Dan actually got the top part of his arms sunburned because he had a muscle type shirt on and the top part of his arms were VERY lily white! hahahahahahaha.......Soon he'll become one big freckle! When we finally came down through the tunnel to where we had parked the truck and trailer, I just couldn't believe all the people in the parking lot! All shapes and sizes of people and quads and dirtbikes. I'm seeing that if you live in this area, you'd want to own a quad or dirtbike. I'm sure glad we got ours. Now we can go places the Harley can't. Having options in life is always fun.
