The wind storm finally passed by. Sure were some strong wind gusts! We left Mountain Home, Idaho on Thursday 3/29 and headed for Vale, Oregon. We visited with Dan's mom and dad's friends from long ago. Bud and Jean Miles. They've known Dan since he was a baby, so ya know that's a long time! HA! Nice, nice people. They made us laugh all the time. Both are great story tellers. We parked in their driveway for two nights. We had a nice visit, went out to dinner, went out to breakfast, and they took us for a ride around the Vale area. We stopped to look at a place where you could see part of the Oregon Trail. That was neat. We could see the ruts in the ground from the covered wagons. What a hard way to travel. I just can't imagine.......Bonehead thought it was a good place too, even though they had a dog and cat that kept her on her toes. After awhile, she didn't mind that they were around. I'm putting pictures showing Bonehead with the other cat and dog, pics of us with Jean and Bud, and the Oregon Trail wagon ruts. We'll go back there again as I-84 will be one of our most traveled routes...........The last two pictures were taken in Northeast Oregon, on the way to Walla Walla, WA. That's where we are now, for two nights. RV Resort Four Seasons. We are gonna go see the Whitman Mission tomorrow.
