Its raining today and the ground sure is soggy. I could hear it raining all last night too. Hearing the patter of rain drops on the roof of our rig. A different sound from hearing them on a house roof top. Personally I'd like to not hear them, at least not all the time. At least I won't have to water my tomato plants today. Dan had a good birthday, I think. We went to Woodinville, WA to Audrey's house on his birthday, 5/30. All 3 of his kids were there and all 4 of the grands. Audrey had decorated the house with "60" signs. Guess what age he turned. hahahahahaha.........We had good food and Dan's favorite, German Chocolate Cake. He now has "Outback" gift cards (YUMMM), lots of Pepsi to drink, and tickets to see the Mariners play baseball. (We are going to that tomorrow 6/4). He turned 60 very gracefully and I think hes "HOT" for 60!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!........ We've just been "hanging out" at home or close to it since his birthday. Jason has come over to visit a couple of times. The first time was the day after Dan's birthday. He came with a present for Dan. A hydraulic jack. A small one that we can fit nicely under the rig while traveling. We shouldn't anticipate any more flat tires, but ya never know. Last one we had the jack would have been a real life saver for Dan. Anyway, he was tickled and very surprised. Then Jason came back again and this time he had a wooden tripod that he had built. We can't put our tripod under the front of the 5th wheel to stabilize it more cause we're sitting too low to the ground. Well, Jason can't ever sit for too long of a time. Hes always gotta be doing something. He had gone home and built the wood tripod and it works great. I guess when we leave here after the summer, Jason can just break it up for firewood for his wood burning stove. What a nice kid I have! ......I went to the dreaded dentist yesterday. I HATE the dentist and everything they represent, but I was forced to go. I was in for a shock. Things have changed so much. I DID NOT feel a thing as he was doing his work and I was pretty much shocked at that. Of course I could still hear the drill and knew it was gonna attack me, but he was so good and so skilled with the new techniques at what he was doing, I was able to endure the dreaded drill. I had a root canal done on one of my front teeth. I was in and out of there in about an hour with no pain. And no pain afterwards with the tooth. Just a headache. I was so relieved. I'm such a big wimp about the dentist. hahahaha......I'm done until next summer, then I'll choose which tooth I want worked on next. Good old Group Health only allows $1000 for dental. Thats not much. I almost used that up in one visit! Feels nice not to have the big hole behind my front tooth anymore. Ok. Enough of the dentist. He got his 15 seconds of fame in my blog. haha!.........Today we have to pick up Dan's truck at the Ford dealership. They replaced something that had been on recall and worked on the injector problem. Something to do with the wiring harness to the injectors. Before we "hit the road" back in 2006 in our 5th wheel, we had put some bad fuel in the truck. The fuel was full of water. It almost instantly ruined some of the truck's injectors. I remember driving home from Bellingham and after getting the fuel we had to stop about every 10 miles to drain the water so we could go another 10 miles or so. It took us a long time to get home that night. DO NOT get fuel from Shell. Thats who we had the problem with and they are still having problems here in our area and the Seattle area. When we fueled up that night the people at the Shell station were aware of the "water in the fuel" problem and no one told us. And they didn't bother to shut that pump down. Wrong! It was a bad time for our poor truck. We'll see what the Ford people say today when we go pick it up....Next on our "to do" list is to get the work done on our 5th wheel. Seems like its never ending.........We ARE looking forward to meeting up with Kittie and Bruce (and maybe Dennis and Sandy) up in Bellingham on July 18th to see the "Red Elvises" play. I can't wait for that! "THE RED ELVISES! YOUR FAVORITE BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!" Remember to check out their web-site listed here on my blog.
