Tuesday, 1/20............This was grocery day. We drove to Blythe, CA. First we found a "do it yourself" car wash. Our poor truck was tan, not it's usual grey. It looks pretty good now, but that won't last long. Oh well. Thats life in the desert. After the truck was nice and clean, we hit the local post office, Albertsons, and Starbucks. I swear that the prices in Albertsons has raised it's prices since I last shopped there. Probably because of all the "snowbirds" in Quartzsite need groceries and Albertsons is the closest big store. My bill was higher then usual but ya gotta buy food. This was also water/propane/gas day. The usual chores. Wednesday, 1/21.....We stayed home all day. I put a roast in the slow cooker and spent my day outside in the sunshine reading. Dan did some maintenance around our rig. Tighting screws, nuts, bolts, etc. It was just a "hang out at home" day. Thursday, 1/22......We went into Quartzsite today to attend the "43rd Annual Gem and Mineral Pow Wow". Lots and lots and lots of rock, gemstones, jewelry, etc. Very interesting. Four of our pals up the road volunteered to work there. I took pics of Carol serving food, Diane serving tea, and Jim and Ken doing dishes. Diane the tea server Carol the food server Who knows what today will bring. Maybe I'll go back to the Gem show and look at more pretty rocks. Window shopping is always free and free is good.....This coming Sunday is a gathering for Data Storm Users. We might "quad over" to that gathering in West La Posz and check out some of the people who read my blog.
