The last few days its been raining and windy. REAL windy! Windy enough to rattle the slide outs on our home real good. Welcome back to the Northwest. Oh well. We both know what its like going back home for the summer. Seeing as the Pacific Northwest had such a bad winter, we're hoping that it will be a nice summer. Not too soggy and plenty of sunshine. We'll see.........We did venture out once since I last wrote. Yesterday we drove south to Bandon to have dinner at Kittie and Bruce's place. Homemade beef veggie soup. YUMMY! Kittie always makes such good meals. We especially like the small baguette breads she puts out that we can dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I'm gonna have to remember to do that for Dan and I. Then we settled in to watch a movie that she had rented. "Australia" with Nichole Kidman. It was a GOOD movie, but a long one. I myself, totally enjoyed watching it. Check it out if any of ya have a chance............Dan took care of the grey/black water tanks today before we travel and rinsed off the quad. Then he comes inside and is watching the sun try and peek out from around the clouds and he couldn't stand it anymore. So, off we go on the clean quad back out to the dunes for one last ride while we're here. We had a good ride and I took some pictures of local "stuff. Here is Scotch Broom. Its kind of pretty up close in a picture, but that about the only nice thing I can say about it. Scotch Broom is a pain in every one's butt, a nasty weed, and heaven help ya if you have allergies. This plant is called Skunk Cabbage. If you got near a bunch of it you would know why its called what its called. It smells bad. And here is another weed. Milk thistle. Ouch.. The next set of pictures are pretty. Cherry blossoms. I love the cherry blossoms. We met Kittie and Bruce in Coos Bay/North Bend and hit some thrift stores. Then we went out for Chinese food. YUM! We hadn't been to a Chinese joint for a long time. Of course we came home with leftovers. Now I won't have to cook tomorrow for dinner. Woohoo! Works for me!
