We are all moved and sitting right under the Gate 9 sign for the speedway. We sure have a different view now. We aren't far from the race track either. Just a short walk. Sitting here at my pc, I can see one of the runways on the air base. We can see the stealth bomber take off and land. Thats way cool. The stealth just has this low rumble and it sounds cool. And most all the jets flying very low over us. Sometimes the 5th wheel rumbles depending on which jet flies over us. Some are louder then others. Some of them are flying right over the top of us and you can see the missiles they are carrying. I'm more excited about seeing the jets then the race cars. LOL LOL LOL.........Dan has been working steady. He rides around on his little golf cart and shows people to their spots that have never been here. Most of the people coming into this lot have their favorite spot and come back every year, so they know where to go. They are hauling in firewood for small fires, portable heaters, and have all their flags flying. Its gonna get noisy here at night with several hundred generators running in one parking lot. I'm glad we have a diesel generator set up close to us that has the big security lights. It gets started at dusk and runs all night, lighting up the gate area where we are camped. It has a steady sound and puts me right to sleep so I don't have to listen too hundreds of different gens going at the same time with different sounds. They all have to turn their generators off at 11pm anyway. Even the race track has a quiet time just like the RV parks. One perk to being parked next to the security lights is that we can plug into it for electric from dusk until our bedtime. So we don't have to run our generator at night at all. Cool. Now if all the clouds would go away, things would be just dandy. Its been so cold here. Las Vegas is just like the rest of the country with all this cold stuff happening. Right now anyway. According to the weather on the internet, it should warm up a bit here and be blue skies......This first picture is the view from a window in our 5th wheel. I can't get a good picture of Las Vegas as there has been a haze over it since we've been here. Maybe its smog.

The next two pictures are of the empty parking lot that Dan is "working". Its starting to fill up and I'll put some "after" pictures on here in a couple of days.
