We are now in Laughlin, Nevada at AVI Casino and KOA. It was quite the travel day as you can see in the pictures below. We were almost to Searchlight, NV when we heard a thump. I glanced out the side mirror on the passenger side and seen something flapping in the wind. I told Dan to pull over ASAP. Luckily we were right at a spot along the road that he could pull over safely. Before he pulled over, what had just transpired was done in about 4 seconds. It happened real fast. I didn't even have a chance to tell him that I seen something flapping in the wind. Our #1 tire on the passenger side of the 5th wheel blew out. Totally destroyed. Here are some pictures of the "Great Tire Adventure" along side a busy road. When the tire blew, it tore the propane lines off. We got to the KOA, set up, and headed to Lowes so Dan could buy the stuff for repairs. He is working on that right now. Almost done. Hes checking for leaks in his work. Hopefully there won't be any. The blow out loosened up screws that are holding on the white part of our rig that is partly over the tires in the picture below. It also caused the steel belting in the tire to cut about an inch slit in the 5th wheel wall. While this part of our rig isn't thick, that was still a good enough hit to the inside wall to make it pooch out. And you can see the wavy damage it did below the slit. Dan will make it look good again.

Did your tire pressure monitor indicateyour tire was loosing air before it separated, or did it just blow.

Kevin.......Dan says the tire just blew. He was VERY surprised this happened. He always checks the tires everytime we stop and the tire was only a year old.....Thanks for reading my blog.
