Bella thinks she a very small cat. Shes on a tiny ledge and always into everything. I caught her leaning over trying to undo the little square pins. They are the pins says Quartzsite with the year we were here, a picture of a bird, and the word "Snowbird". So, this is our 6Th year of being a "Snowbird" in Quartzsite. Its getting REAL busy in town with all the vendors set up and selling their wares. Dan and I will ride the quad into town and go check out all the vendors at least one time. See if there are any new ones. Soon the "Big Tent" will be open and we'll go to that once too. Maybe after its been open for several days. Its always chaos in there. Wall to wall people and vendors. I'll write more about the big tent in another entry......Its crowded going into town to do laundry, pick up milk, get gas and propane, etc. We opted for driving to Blythe, CA so I could go to a big grocery store, wash clothes, and Dan could buy our 5Th wheel a new tire. No crowds in Blythe. Oh, and go to Starbucks twice! LOL! Well, its a treat going there during the winter for us and we're lucky if we go once a month. Everyone has favorite places and this one is mine.......Its been cold out at night again. We have the heater on all night. During the day its been ok. Warm with a northern wind chill. I sure hope the weather will be decent up in Las Vegas. We'll be leaving Quartzsite about Feb 26Th and heading to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway so Dan can work at the track again. Poor Bella will sure have to make an adjustment. She won't have near as much freedom outside and no critters to chase. Oh well. She'll be ok.....We went out on another short quad ride. Just a ride that didn't take us too far away from home. Here is a view from the top of a mine overlooking part of Quartzsite. You can see all the white in the distance. They are all RVs. The long white thing in the middle distance of the picture is the big tent that is being set up for upcoming events. Another view of Quartzsite. Out in this view is the I-10 freeway. Ya can't see it but its there. Another view from the mine. Looking at "Q" mountain. On the other side of the hill is the big, white Q letting you know you're in Quartzsite. And, yet another view looking west. You can see the quad trail or gas pipeline road. We've traveled on this many many many times.
