We left our nice spot on the Columbia River.  Headed west on I-84 along the river in Oregon. We decided to spend one night on our way to Washington. I had made a reservation at Portland East/Cascade Locks KOA. Not the best thing I have ever done. This park was not our cup of tea and we were both glad it was for only one night. The park had everything you wanted. Regular KOA amenities. BUT! It was a small park with a gazillion tall fir trees. Narrow little roads among the trees. Dan got us parked and set up and we both felt very closed in. We felt trapped in the trees. Of course our satellite was useless there so we used their wifi and cable. We won't be going back to this park again. In the pictures below my camera was having a problem. Something wrong with my lens and I end up with black in the corners. grrrrrrrrrrr............
I did like seeing that the rhododendrons are blooming.
Nothing but trees, trees, and more trees......
This tree was kind of cool though.....
And, here we are surrounded by trees. It may look like its bright outside, but it really wasn't.........
We left the dark KOA and drove almost all the way to our next destination in the rain.
Yup. And more rain. Oh, welcome to Washington. It was a VERY rainy travel day. It finally quit raining when we were about 25 miles from Rochester, WA where we are camped now.......
This is where we are for a week. A "mom and pop" park and a good place to "sit" while all the crazies are out on the road for the long Memorial Day weekend. There are NO trees where we are parked and our satellite dish loves that!!!!!!!!!!!!
A much better parking spot. There are lots of pretty flowers in the park and if I can get my camera to work properly, I'll be taking pictures of them. Dan and Bella have walked all over the park.
We're only about 5 miles from the Lucky Eagle Casino, so we'll be going to the Friday night seafood buffet. Probably won't do too much else. Just chill and be retired cause we can.
