traveling

Next stop was Deerwood RV Park just south of Eugene, Oregon. Way too many trees in this park. The owner tells us, "oh, your satellite will work in this spot". Nope. Sure can't work when its trying to "look" through a big tree. Just used the park WiFi this time. Look at all the trees on the way out of the park.

We had tried to stay in another Walmart in Grants Pass, Oregon. Didn't work. No camping in their back parking lot. Where they said we could stay was so crowded with cars. Hmmmmm. If you have a big RV or motorhome don't try staying in this Walmart. We drove about 1 mile to Moon Mountain RV Park. This was the most unusual park. Its on a slight hillside and the parking spots are tiered. It wasn't my idea of the best park although it was pretty.

Oh yes. Like you need to remind us that we're gonna go down the long grade into California.
All the times we've been past this sign I never noticed that this was the highest point on all of I-5.
The end of the long grade.
Yreka RV Park. This is the 5th time we've been here. We really like this park.

One of our slides right after I brought it in. Why am I showing a slide? Look at the below pictures.
Whatever water that was on the awning from when it rained that day, had totally froze that night. As I was bringing in the slide I heard a bang and then a big crash. I stopped bringing in the slide, ran outside to see what had happened, and this is what I found. The bang was when the ice broke and then it crashed to the rocks. It was pretty thick. BRRRRRRRRRRRR

The next two pictures are of Mt. Shasta

Just the pretty fall colors on Hwy 80

We always stop at the intersection of Hwy 89 and Hwy 44 for a butt break and to walk Bella. This is part of Lassen National Forest. I couldn't resist doing my own protest against the government for being so dumb.

View of Susanville, CA
Now we are in Susanville, CA for two nights. Bella likes it here as it is quiet. No noisy traffic here. I think this is our 5th time in this park.
I forgot to say that we didn't take Tucker, the stray cat at my mom's house, with us. He found a new home with my mom. He loves going in the house and is quite happy there. It wasn't gonna work out with Tucker and Bella inside our rig at the same time. They were fine outside playing together but just not inside. He'll be ok where he is. At least I didn't have to take him to a "no kill" shelter.

Traveling because has a complete whole different outcome everything that goes around it feels great which is why 3 days trip from new york would certainly be a thing to us that has so much to do throughout.
