July 5, 2015

Its been awhile since I wrote. Been busy. We had a BBQ at my mom's house on the 4th of July. It was successful. Had good food and good company. We had LOTS of fireworks and everyone seemed to enjoy watching them. Its been SO dry here, so we had water buckets and hoses out. I had dampened down the neighbor's bushes across the street from my mom's house and had the hose in my hands all the time they were being set off. Bremerton put a curfew on when to stop lighting them off and that was fine. 11am to 11pm. We finished up about 11:10pm and then started in with the cleanup.

Dan's daughter Audrey. She brought Dan's grands with her, Caleb, Nicholas, and Tiffany. And a HUGE dog named Mink that had the loudest bark I'd ever heard!

What a spoiled dog. "I'm hot mom, please cool me down". LOL LOL LOL

Getting the food set up in the garage out of the sun
Nephew-in-law, Steve "manning" the grill
Niece Melinda and my Mom being silly with Melinda's son Caleb. I don't think he expected two grown women to stick their tongues out at him. :-p
He was cracking up

My sister and friend Christine
Dan out with my great-nephew Caleb and his grand Nicholas lighting fireworks. You can see my water hose waiting for me to "take command". :-)

This is the way you watch fireworks. Necks bent and heads back. Nephew-in-law Steve, sister Christine, and our neighbor Donna. (She just delivered me some chocolate chip cookies. YUM!) Its hard for me to believe that Donna is 92!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
