The last few days have been busy. We had the paramedics come get my Mom. She was lethargic and incoherent and we couldn't get her up and out of her chair. The paramedics got her up and took her to the ER. Sister Christine had a feeling that she had developed another bad bladder infection. She did. The ER doc gave her a heavy duty anti-biotic and hydrated her. After 6 hours in the ER, we took her home. Because of her Alzheimer's, she doesn't remember this happening. Oh sigh.............We finally heard from our friends Chris and Connie who won the RV park over near Kamiah, Idaho where all the fires are happening. The fire missed them but was close. Just across the street from them up on a ridge. They were VERY lucky! We are SO glad the fire missed their place. Mother nature is a bitch sometimes and ya never know what shes gonna dish out with lots of lightening strikes.

Here is Tucker climbing up one of the apple trees in Mom's orchard. He was chasing a Stellar Jay.
The wind was blowing in from the east, sending all the smoke from the fires in Eastern Washington over the Cascade Mountains, over Kitsap County, an on to the Olympic Mountains. The sun was red through the smoke but I only had my phone camera. We could smell the smoke too.

Bella is "stalking" a jay in the bush.
Here is Dan's grandson Ryan. Him and his Dad were at Coos Bay, Oregon playing in the dunes. Wish we could have gone with them.

I'm thinking this kid had a blast!

If your mom gets Bladder or Kidney often it would be wise to have her start drinking Cranberry Juice. The taste is bitter to most people but it works better than supplements or most medications.
The infections are brought on by the impurities in the drinking water.
Even with the filter system on our trailer Kathy can only use it for cleaning. She can only drink bottled or purified water at the dispensing machines.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.
